The extent people will go to not have to make eye contact with somebody else 
Walk down the aisle at the grocery store, and if someone coming from the other end and they’ll probably look at their phone and turn their head 90 degrees either direction, or look down
All that bullshyt to not have to acknowledge another human being for like 20 seconds
I stopped doing that shyt and now I’m 1) more talkative and 2) folks do that shyt much less when I come by. It still happens but I’ve noticed it’s substantially less since I became aware I did that shyt and cut it out
