I used to lift all year.

Now I completely take January and July off. If I feel the itch, I come in, limit myself to 30 mins, 40% of my 1RM

And I take at least 1 week off per month. My numbers and physique got better.

Also I've changed the way I train as I've gotten older. No more ego lifting. I've done all that and been that guy putting up the heavy weights. Muhfackas know how I get down :mjgrin:

Now its more focus on reps, cardio and calisthenics. I'll still lift heavy occasionally.
