the entire list is interesting but here are just a few that caught my eye:

Bruce Springsteen — I’m On Fire
Dave Matthews Band — Crash Into Me
Elton John — Rocket Man
Neil Diamond — America?????????? Really?
Animals — We Gotta Get Out of This Place
Bangles — Walk Like an Egyptian
Alice in Chains — Down in a Hole
Beastie Boys — Sabotage
The Beatles — Ticket To Ride
Black Sabbath — War Pigs

The 164 songs that were banned from American radio after 9/11 — Kerrang!

Above the fray.
Juelz Santana was in a mini controversy st the time for shouting out one of the terrorist suspects on a song.

Found it odd, that they had him do the hook on Welcome To New York City..years latrr

"the home of 911, we lost towers"

I thought it was over for Juelz and The Diplomats when the controversy broke out back then

shyts crazy, right?
people actually got together and found reasons to stop playing these songs on the radio.
imagine how those convos went down.

exec 1: I was driving with my wife and kids yesterday when Neil Diamond came on the radio.
Now you know I love me some Neil but as we were singing along with "Coming to America"
I was shocked and angry. "On the boats and on the planes....THEY'RE COMING TO AMERICA...TODAY!"

exec 2: Dear god, Jim! I had a similar experience listening to my headphones while biking. "Walk like and Egyptian"
was playing and I suddenly realized this has been inspiring suicide bombers overseas and could do so here as well!"

exec 1: :whoo:
exec 2: :ohhh:

Radio Dj's: :unimpressed:
