dude is trippin if he can't hear it. I'm sure a lot of producers sample on the low. If you can play keys its much simpler to listen to some obscure shyt and copy the melody. Timbaland made a career out of it.
I got a homie who can replay damn near anything at the drop of a hat, shyt takes him like no longer than 30 sec to figure out the notes/key etc...
Anyone who produce's can tell you thats not reaching. Those samples are in the same exact key of the song.
