I was listening to DEHH discuss Marshall Mathers LP and Mike saying Stan has no replay value because he already knows the plot twist, so he doesn't feel it has replay value

When you listen to a storytelling song, that has a big plot twist, or crazy story, does it lose it's replay value for you?

I've noticed light hearted stories have more replay value then heavy content ones with a deep plot

Slick Rick stories were well detailed but simple, so they're easy listens. Some are dope but listening again can be a chore.

No. If a story or an album (much like a movie) has an intricate story or a plot twist, I personally like going back and picking up on stuff I missed that further explains the story or makes me go ":ohhh:".

No. If it's done well and I like it, I don't see why it would. But then again, I like when rappers can tell a story with their lyrics anyway, so it falls in line with one of my preferences.

Do people not watch, say, The Usual Suspects anymore because they know how it ends? (Another movie can be substituted if one doesn't care for that particular one.) So I don't see how it would be any different for music.

even the song when biggie kills himself is depressing, you only listen to songs like that if it fits the mood

"Senorita" has the most needless "twist" I think I have ever heard, "i was dreaming damn it was all a surprise" :deadmanny:

Classic song, regardless.
