Am I the Same Girl - 1992 version. I'll start off with this one, because I just found out yesterday that the 92' version was sung by a White artist. They played this a lot on DC's WHUR Quiet Storm. The 3:25 mark on down was the best part of this version. It grew on me over the years. There's more to follow.

This is not the original.

This is why you heard it so much in DC.
I'm going to have to mark this thread and F for fuxup!

You're not black and it shows. That's all you need to know.
Ok, I'll change it to Black people, all though I have heard Black people say "Blacks" some times. It does sound a little too White when a White person say it. Since Jessie's gone now, I'm not sure if this means "African American" is out or what. I usually wouldn't pay this any mind since I'm almost too old to care about what anybody thinks anymore.

"Sung by Blacks" :camby:

Song in Op sounds like a British white bytch.

GTFOH.
You say this after you saw the video. Anyway, I haven't heard it in years, and never really listened too it but so hard. Usually WHUR played the musical version. But her vocals at the end is what I remember the most, and it always sounded good to me. If they played it on WHUR's Quiet Storm, evidently it's Black enough for anybody who got ears.
