Songs you thought were sung by Black Artists

Tbh, I was trying to name some White "one hit wonders", or some no name White artists that made a recording that crossed over big on the Black stations, and had many of us thinking they where Black, and those who didn't watch a lot of videos like myself, still thinking they were Black. I wasn't really trying to include popular White groups like AWB, and popular White artists like Tina Marie, etc..., who always made Black sounding songs, even though we initially thought they were Black too.

I get it man. Bobby Caldwell is the default answer because we def thought he was white.

I don’t remember ever hearing it back in the day. My intro to it was through MC Lyte.. also Eric Benet’s remake. My mind was blown when I found out sone white dudes were behind it though lol
