I know exactly what early access is. And shyt like this is exactly why I don't mess with any early access games at all.
They're basically asking you to pay them to play test their game for them, and then they're going to put it out for free later.
So essentialy the biggest fans are paying the most for the worst possible experience, and on top of that they put in microtransactions that they promised would not be there. As far as I'm concerned early access titles should be totally free. We are doing the devs a favor by playing their buggy unfinished games and giving feedback.
Its a total slap in the face to fans and early adopters.
And I'm not seeing where they've been removed. There seems to be a patch coming, but it doesn't address the air drops issue.
Im not disagreeing with any of that.. thats how I feel about it as well.
I was one of the lucky people to get into the alpha test of Heroes of the Storm (blizzard's MOBA).. they had like I wanna say 30 heroes or so (off the top of my head) but only give you 4-5 to test, the others you gotta play an insane amount to unlock or buy them
plus they had skins and shyt you could buy etc.. im like

why are you charging people to test shyt on your game
but people bought it up
shyt was expensive too.. Not sure if you ever played a Blizzard game but they dont hide their greed ways
Skins was like $10-25 a piece

A PIECE.. you could buy 3 skins and be at the total cost of a retail game
this is just cosmetic shyt
as far as early access goes.. Rust did it the right way (if it ever comes out

)
they basically said $20 to get early access + alpha testing and when we release the game at $40+, you get the full game already at the $20 price you paid. That seems like a fair way to treat loyal people who helped test the game.
but this h1z1 shyt

gonna release the game for free, but charge people to test it

thats some bull shyt right there
