Between covid supply chain issues. The subsequent cost of living crisis. The lobotomized decision to raise console prices in non US markets, FIVE YEARS into its life cycle. The asinine price of the pro. The small library of games - its not until last year that devs held steadfast on non cross generational games. Its no wonder PS4 & PS5 players numbers are kinda on par. Without mentioning games that dropped this year, what game defines the PS5?? Now do the same for 3 and 4 - compare the numbers. 4 has such an insane backlog, they allowed 5 to play its games. The only positive releasing 6 will have is drop the price of 5, hopwfully. This gen has be wack asf

I've enjoyed this gen so far and can't wait to see what drops next.

Late 2028 makes sense, 8 years after PS5 release, which was heavily restrained in terms of sales due to Covid-19.

Will be interesting to see what the PS6 actually is with the increasing growth of cross-gen, diminishing returns tech wise and fewer real exclusives. Think they'll need to be creative hardware wise to capture the imagination, otherwise a lot of people will stick with the PS4/PS5.

This will give time to release PS5 exclusives to show what the PS5 is capable of in terms of gameplay. People keep talking about graphics but I want to see what can be done in terms of gameplay that was not possible before. There was only a glimpse of this with games such as Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. There should be next gen gameplay the rest of this generation.
