Miniature comedian Kevin Hart is now a well-liked movie star. He also thinks he deserves more than $3 million to tweet, according to this leaked straight out of Sony.

The permanently upcoming Steve Jobs biopic has been hotly anticipated since it was first reported… Read more

The email exchange below, between Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal, studio exec Clint Culpepper, and SonyEntertainment CEO Michael Lynton, pertains to squeaky Mr. Hart, whose fame has continued to expand with recent SonyPictures films. The studio was hoping Hart would be so kind as to write a 140-characters-or-less statement or three about his new movie (possibly Think Like a Man Too), as is normal when an actor with hands is promoting a new movie. But as you can see in the below message, Kevin wanted more money to go social (click expand to make it big):

"I'm not saying he's a whore, but he's a whore."
More money, in addition to the three million he was already being paid. To tweet. And maybe do some Instagram stuff. And my god, Culpepper adds, think of the precedent! It's not as if we paid him 3M and 4M respectively for his last 2 films thinking he might be nominated. We paid for his ability to open a film which included his social media savvy. I feel like this is something that should be negotiated going into the film as opposed to after the fact. It feels tantamount to buying a car and then upon picking it up being told that the engine will cost extra. I'm tempted to suggest we call his bluff. If he doesn't do his normal routine, his film will not open as well and his brand will appear diminished and he will- in fact - be fukking himself because we have his next 2 immediate films. And then there's the social media precedent we're setting...especially in light of the fact that Channing is at the same agency.

Marvel Studios/Sony SPIDER-MAN Deal Could Still Happen
Spider-Man-spin-offs.jpg

Latino-Review have weighed in on those leaked details about Spider-Man which found their way online late last night as a result of the "Sony Hack" (something which is proving to be tremendous fun for us movie bloggers). Before we get to the good stuff, let's talk about the spinoffs. Apparently, the big plans that Marvel and DC have led to a "crisis of conifidence" over plans for Spider-Man, perhaps explaining why we've heard nothing about Sinister Six and Venom for quite some time. That female-led spinoff would have apparently focused on some previously unseen characters - because apparently Sony don't realise how much we'd all like to see Black Cat, Spider-Girl, etc. on the big screen - and the Aunt May movie is still (sadly) a very real possibility.

Now, the Marvel Studios deal. According to Sony sources, Sony Pictures didn't actually reject a trilogy of movies that Marvel would produce but not have creative control over (somthing which didn't mae much sense when Sony are the ones who have run the character into the ground). Instead, it was a co-production deal which would have seen Marvel and Sony splitting costs 60/40, with Kevin Feige and company in control of the character and setting him up for appearances in the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, like that rumoured Captain America: Civil War role.

Here's where it gets really interesting though. Sony bosses in Japan are obviously furious about how this hacking scandal has played out, and aren't happy about the way Spider-Man has been handled regardless. They feel that they need to start producing more profitable "quality" films, and as a result, "Sony Japan thinks the Marvel deal for Spider-Man is still on the table and they want to renegotiate as a return to quality, the 60/40 split is can be negotiated and Sony Entertainment’s October hard-line stance of wanting creative control is now mostly moot in the eyes of the higher-ups."

Well he is a whore.

Cacs demand what they deserve and they are on top of their business. Kevin Hart (who takes ownership steak in many of his productions) is called a whore? :what:

Let Jerry Seinfeld demand what he's worth and people will tout him as a shrewd business man...:camron:

Get ya money Kev...fuuck these entitled execs...:salute:

i have no problem with Kev asking for more just like i have no problem with Sony attempting to play hardball business wise (blackballing). as far as the name calling, yeah it's kinda fukked up but at the end of the day, either pay the man or make your move. either way Sony needs to quit bytching.

I want to be happier for KH but the nikka is just anti-funny to me :manny:

He's like that corny dude that tells bad stories and people laugh with him just so they don't hurt his feelings.

It's a lot of selfless people out there I can tell you that :mjcry:

Cacs went in on Obama too. This exchange before Sony execs were to meet him at a fundraiser:

"Should I ask him if he liked DJANGO?” says Pascal, according to the reported e-mails. Rudin writes back: “12 YEARS.” Pascal responds: “Or the butler. Or think like a man? [sic].” Rudin: “Ride-along. I bet he likes Kevin Hart.”

Gotdamn cacs. Snickered at Think like a man, though. Barry lacks nuts at times
