So I can only speculate that for the near future (3-5 yrs) at least CoD will be on the PlayStation.

Im not sure why yall acting like microsoft hasn’t done this before, Minecraft is still multiplatform. It makes too much money too pull off other platforms, same thing is gonna happen with CoD. It prints money being on playstation.

If they have contractual obligations from Activision it doesn't matter if Microsoft buys them they still have to uphold them or get sued. It's really that simple.
Sony getting Warzone and whatever was already contractually in the works. Mainline COD games from that point will be exclusive. They still have King mobile games printing money in its sleep, they don't need to milk multiplatform CoD sales. They'd rather Xbox become the premier destination for CoD games
You don't make the biggest gaming acquisition in history so you can make money selling games on Playstation. This was an investment in gamepass as well as keeping other companies like Amazon and Tencent from doing the same

Sony re-up the deal in 2020 so I am sure they got COD for a while
Sony sound defeated. Microsoft don't have to honor contract obligation at all. They can force Sony hand and say hey you can have these titles but put Gamepass on your system.
