:mjlol: I knew Nintendo was going to be last ones on the exclusives tip. They’re too traditional and old fashioned.
They are the only company that can still get away with it.

Switch currently has 72 first party games that sold over 1 million copies.

This is data as of February 5, 2025.

Following Microsoft into 3rd party will be PlayStation's downfall.

Microsoft can survive without Xbox. Sony without PlayStation?

:francis:
You guys are just stuck on old thinking.

None of the most popular games are exclusive.

People aren’t buying consoles to play astrobot.

Playstation will still sell pretty much what it always has.

Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted, Horizon, etc.
There are also other games closing in on 20 million that will reach 20 million.
Those game usually need bundles and extreme discounts in order to reach those numbers.

And the games are becoming increasingly more expensive to make.

For example, spider-man 2 cost almost 3 times as much to make as spider-man 1 and has yet to sell as much as spider-man 1.

Sony doesn’t make much money on first party stuff. Which is why they are starting to put their games on other platforms.
