Tony Parker's play this season (especially as of late) has been alarming. I don't buy that he's pacing himself for the postseason either. In the 11 games since the new year, he's averaging 11 points & 3.6 assists on 40.9% from the field. He attempted a total of 16 FTs in the span of those games. His averages in both points (14.4) & assists (4.7) haven't been this low since his rookie season. His PER & ORtg have only been lower in his rookie year and he's getting to the line at the lowest rate of his career. I'm not naive enough to say the Spurs are finished, but if this trend continues I really don't see how they could go far in the playoffs. Keep in mind he started playing professionally in France when he was 16 years old. We all assumed Duncan would be the first, but Tony Parker could be the first player of the Spurs nucleus to wear down

I wanna say he's pacing himself but deep down I really think he's wearing down. Nobody in the NBA covers more ground on the court than Parker and like you said he's been a pro since he was 16 and now he's 32 so that's basically 16 years of demanding basketball under his belt. Duncan and Gino are likely gone after the season or maybe next year and he probably realizes he's had a great career and is just going through the motions now. He might play at a high level come post season but i don't think we will ever see the Tony Parker of old for 82 games again.

He had a hamstring pull, so he's still working his way back.

He played really well in November but he's sucked since then.

If he's still playing like this in March, then Spurs should be really concerned. Last year, he played in the 2013 Euros and won it all with France and he was worn out by the All Star Break. Pop gave him a month off basically and it helped.

Spurs can't really afford that but they are making gains with the Ws and getting closer to the middle seeds.

Kawhi Leonard is stepping up though.

Hamstring probably still sore and the majority of his game are quick cuts and misdirection...

Long as he is healthy he will be fine...

Spurs need to worry about the regression of Danny Green more than Parker...this dude can't even dribble a basketball now

Ain't fam coming off a hamstring injury or something? Give him some time.

When you combine injuries with mileage you gotta take notice. I don't think Tony Parker can keep up his game the way he plays. He's played in over 260 playoff games and international games at just 32 and that's not even counting his pro career before he was drafted by the Spurs.

Had a long off season and came back injured. He'll be back in form by mid February.
