Not just G funk, but jack the whole LA style.

One song put ATL on the map
One song put NO on the map

I could get more in depth but im lazy
shoutout to Florida for doin dey own thing :obama:
I fuccs with Memphis(top 5 GOAT hip hop city) too

But cities like ATL, NO, Houston, Dallas,, built their sound around LA gangster music.
And LA gangster rap was 100% original.

So, Mind Playing Tricks On Me, one of the greatest hip-hop songs of all time, bit G Funk?

Yeah.

Im not saying its a bite (idk) but just because it's a great song doesnt mean it wasnt a bite but the whole "biting" and hiphop talk is foolish, Hiphop was built on 'biting' (sampling), the music influences are supposed to transcend any boundaries whether between genres, regions, or whatever have you.

The fukk does that have to do with their music though?
Alot. Music alone doesnt make rappers blow up. Image is just as important. Let "Mind Playing Tricks On Me' drop by some black group in London. Wouldnt have the same impact

The South and The West Coast collab'd like crazy and the lifestyle and culture was so similar that its natural some shyt rubbed off. We borrowed from them they borrowed from us but it was mutual and respect was given.

And thats how its supposed to be

L.A suburbs like lbc & compton & the south & midwest to an extent all are very similar culturally. In Atlanta or Compton or Chicago you could be in 'the hood' but yall got driveways & lawns and shyt :dwillhuh: Yall drive the same cars, dress the same etc. you could never get a new orleans wu tang but you could easily have a new orleans snoop dogg. :manny: makes sense the south would lean towards the west
