7/10 - While I loved every moment of TFBW, they didn't try to surprise the player with a new setting like the did in SoT (Canada). Its basically a huge call back to every joke they forgot and or couldn't do in the last game. And that's fine, but there's no break off point like Canada. Instead, you get more classes, which is a hilarious trope but doesn't really stop the monotony. The costumes are on point and you can make anyone from Cat Woman, to Lex Luthor, and yes, even Spider-Man.
The combat is executed slightly better in that you don't have to rely on poison (farts) to handle the fight. I went with a brawler/speedster and handled all fights with punches in bunches, your teammates of course make up for that and you can have people who poison/bleed/shock the enemy, while you're wailing away. I found this more flexible than the fart - punch - fart format in SoT. Knockback is the new mechanic that you'll see more of, and that works out just fine and in creative ways with certain powers.
Drawing to the end of the game, I was flat out bored, maybe its due to the joke used (I never liked the whole Mitch Connors bit) but there wasn't much to follow by then. The narrative given to you by Cartman is as nihilistic as it was the first time. And while sure traveling through time via fart is grander than just fighting boss after boss, the venue taken was far more delightful in SoT....The Canada segment was a huge left turn that was enjoyable if you like the genre. There isn't a "pause" like that in this one, just call backs to old jokes, which work but just feels like I'm waiting for the next bit to come along.
