This happened to me just now.

I could totally understand a Hurricane knocking out power but a run of the mill thunderstorm?

This happened to me in two separate states in the south over the years (FL and NC).
Ita a regular issue every summer in the South/Midwest, unless u have a backup generator u prob will lose power once during the storms, might be for 20 minutes or 2 while days like I lost power last summer

After enough time you'll realize anything less than a cat 4 hurricane, thunderstorms tend to do more damage with no warning

God help you if you end up in one of those Derecho events ... shyt's like a condensed hurricane, it'll light up the night sky bright as day and knock the power out for several days
Worst part of living in the Midwest...last one we had knocked our power out for half a day :francis:
