This Queens, NY by way of Denmark producer has been holding down the boards and crates for quite sometime, and recently dropped “Control Your Own”, a neck snapping LP that features some of hip-hop’s elite - A.G. of DITC, Roc Marciano, Sadat X, Breeze Brewin, O.C. & Elzhi to name a few. We sat down with Ras to talk about the process behind getting the project together, releasing it 100% independently on his own Worldwyde Recordings imprint and his past work that brought him to his first full length. We dig into Ras’ upbringing in Denmark, his family’s love for music, the influence hip-hop had in Denmark and across Europe at the time and why he made the move to NYC in the glorious early 90’s.
