Nah, ugly mane is just.....ugly mane. He's clearly a nomad and comes across as someone who has his own demons when it comes to life. He simply just got tired of people pressuring him to release new stuff and the rap game in general. He was only doing this for fun He's an artist, and artists tend to function on the wavelength of doing wtf they want when they want...anything less feels like a mental prison...seriously. It's the same with death grips...it's like fans felt because they liked his and death grips music it was one way, but it was the other. Oh and ugly mane was only loosely affiliated with raider klan, he was never in the crew as an official member or anything like that.

I think him quitting was a little bit more about some of his personal life coming out as well, I remember people tracked down his real name(Travis Miller) and they found out he used to be a Juggalo rapper or whatever, and they found out about this old noise band he had called Head Molt. Like right after all that shyt happened is when he decided to quit, he never directly spoke on it but there's no way he didn't notice that people suddenly knew his first name and all that shyt.

yeah i could see that. but at the same time he knew what was gonna happen after mista thug isolation dropped. i get the whole artists do what they want and fukk the fans but fukk them back. if im the best weed farmer on the west coast and im like you know what i retire at 25 people are gonna be salty.

but im glad i was here to experience everything and can tell the story one day. and maybe its so personal to me cuz im into underground shyt. ive only ever had a conversation with a few other people in real life about lum...

Wasnt another big reason to him quitting him losing music through his computer crashing, like wasn't that devils night ep completely erased? I remember him posting about the comp crashing on facebook and then him announcing his retirement like the next day lol

And i think he revealed the noise band stuff sans the name in the mishka interview he did anyway, but i could imagine ugly mane quitting because of people doing lame sh1te like that...tbf to him, that'd be scary to anyone just having random people suddenly obssess over you and find out every real life detail about you, you don't know what these weirdos will do...esp since ugly mane has a weird suicide cult slant to his music (sh1tty way to articulate what i mean) cos you don't make stuff like alone and suffering, end ya whole sh1t and the first 2 verses to uneven compromise unless you're on some other sh1t and trying to alienate yourself.

Lastly @stealthbomber i garauntee you he didn't know he was gonna get the response he did for mista thug isolation...garauntee it...artists live in s bubble of self absortion, we have no clue how ppl will receive our work...if anything i bet you he more thought ppl werent gonna fucc with it

i get it though, he is on some emo shyt.. but i thought the point was to be at least somewhat popular and get your message out there. its not like the same people aren't gonna be looking out for whatever he does next anyway.

He was most probs just doing it for himself and his friends or just to artistically achieve what he set out to do with the album...can be as simple as that...he probs did like the fact that people liked his sh1t, but the music is clearly the priority to him, not the fame...
