Yea speedruns are crazy to me I watched someone streaming practice runs and the amount of times they kept replaying a section of a game for a slightly better time was crazy to me. Then you got the rpgs that run quite a few hours and then they mess up 2 hours in and do that shyt all day. :wtf:

But I believe when they figuring out shyt like that it's probably trial and error or they run the games on emulators where you have access to tools that let you see the games memory as well as cheat engine. Or found completely by accident like that one chick who was playing mgs for the first time and found a new skip that speedrunners didn't even know about

We grew up doing speedruns. Running through the levels on Mario and sonic as fast as possible.
I remember doing that as a kid.

But I didn't have the knowledge to know about warping whole sections of worlds by glitching the video game.

That part of the speed run world is crazy to me.

I'm familiar with TAS and all that but the people who figured it out by themselves. I'm like how.

I mean, there were some glitches that were known (at least by us) and this was before the internet like on super Mario bros fukking and jumping then glitch sliding through bricks. But other than that it's was pretty much just sprint to the end.
