But social work is important, obviously education in America is more of an investment so people get shafted if they don't realize that.
Social work is NOT important. It is one of the areas of government spending which produces the lowest returns. Also, it is impossible to replace a loving, caring family with a network of “programs” and visits from a social worker.
I was offered a scholarship to a university if I majored in social work and agreed to work for the state for 3-5 years post-graduation which told me even as a teenager that it was a low-value profession.
Also the coursework would have made it harder for me to do well on the LSAT and in law school. I would have ended up with a lower score, lower tier law school and lower earning potential AND I would have had to deal with fukked up people and kids.
This young lady made a big mistake and her life potential is greatly diminished by choosing such a dumb career. Also what kind of man is she meeting as a social worker? Lol.
