The first 3D Spider-Man game and arguably my favorite PS1 game of all time, up there with Tekken 3.:ohlawd: This game really laid the foundation for all the Spider-Man games that came after.

This game was my childhood.:banderas: I remember going to the store with my grandma and the store owner had a bunch of PS1 games in the glass case. Bro tried to sell me some MLB game and I almost bought it until I saw this game.:childplease: Played this thing for years.

And let's give this game it's flowers for those cutscenes. The voice acting and dialogue is sooooo good for a PS1 game man. Compared to the trash that came out on this console like MK4 and Resident Evil, this game was way ahead of it's time.

And fukk it, while we're here let's give a shout out to the sequel, Enter Electro.

Unlike the first game I never actually played this one in full. If I remember correctly there was a cheat code that let you unlock everything in the game, so I did that to fukk around with the Create a Spider-Man mode.:russ:

:wow:Some of the best superhero games of all time. They have so much charm, the cameos, Stan Lee’s narrations, the cheat codes, the costumes with different abilities, collecting comic books, the ost, and different game modes like What If.

I listed the first game as one of my all time favorites games.

It was so impactful to me growing up, I played the demo religiously, so when I finally got the full game I was excited af.

Being a spider man fan I played a lot of the 16 bit side scrollers but this was next level. Being able to swing in a 3d environment (although webs didn’t attach to anything, yet) was awesome.

The cameos were great too, venom, doc ock, scorpion, carnage, black cat, human torch JJJ, carnage. And all had great voice acting from what I remember.

Oh man, and I can’t forget about the cheat codes and unlockables. I would scour each level looking for the collectible comic book covers to unlock costumes. This game had all the heavy hitters too, black suit, future foundation, scarlet spider, captain universe etc. if I remember each had its own perk so to speak. I think the next game let you mix and match perks with costumes.

EEL NATS basically unlocked everything.

Then there was what if mode! That changed the story line slightly and added goofy gags. Added to the replay ability.

Game had some web mechanics that were cool for the time as well (web dome, fire web, web gloves, impact webbing)

Needless to say, I have very fond memories of the game and even enjoyed the sequel (which let you walk on the street, finally) but the first game lives rent free in my head.

I had no idea about What If mode as a kid.:snoop::snoop::snoop:
It wasn't until I watched a YT video about this game that I discovered that was a thing.:beli:

Man!… this thread is point! Like the poster above said, I too played the hell out of the demo! And it’s definitely one of my favorite games ever. Even with the graphics now, I’d play it if they were available on ps5.

“Curse your endless babble Spider-Man!” - Mysterio after defeating him :mjlol: Don’t know why that always cracked me up.
