Filler scene that didn't have much to do with the overall plot of the movie..kinda just there to add depth:yeshrug:

It was showing the "beef" between the working man/blue collar worker/street guys, and those who go to college, how both think differently. The major difference is the knowledge of the world, and how it works.

Remember, when this movie was made, that was the beginning of it being the cool thing to go to college. Before that it was about graduating H.S., and getting a good job, college wasn't really that needed. People who went to college in the 60's & 70's, really wanted to learn, it wasn't always just for a job/career.

Above the fray.
Just exposed your inner Dominic00n :mjlol:
I think that's unfair.
Look at the travel threads on this site, where dudes mention recognizing the global influence that AAs have, to eat overseas. They talk about going to all Black countries where they stand out and get shown love from ladies.
How is that different than what this dude said?

What have Dominicans done for them to eat in the same way? We only learned about Dominicans in the mid 80's-90's, and that is NYC, there are a whole bunch who still never met that many Dominicans before, and some who just never met them at all! If anything, they hear how anti-black a lot are said to be. And if he looks like other black people here, not the heavily mixed ones, no one will care he is Dominican, he is just a black guy who talks spanish.

I'm not dissing, just asking a real question. I get what he is saying, he can be exotic to some, but you are reaching with comparing the two. I don't get how you can be so smart when it comes to books, but don't have common sense! shyt is wild to me.
