folks had 12-inch vinyls ranging from some of the earliest rap releases thru the mid-80s.

sugar hill records stuff like the furious five.
enjoy records releases
local stuff like the galaxy 5

thru the mid-80s era stuff like run dmc.

earliest full-length albums I can remember off-top are salt-n-pepa's 1st jawn and compilation albums like mr magic's rap attack & some chit called JAM.

the cover of JAM was literally a glass of jelly with JAM written on it. sounds hilarious but it's prolly the best compilation of hits that ive ever heard.
