That defense was nasty and the fact that offenses were getting more and more faster made the fact that the defense shut everyone down was amazing. The most yards we gave up that year was against Georgia Southern (341) and it was a triple option squad. I look at clips of the '92 defense though and go
with Teague (went to my alma mater) and Copeland and the guys.

Including the 1997 season, Michigan won the Big Ten statistical championship in rushing defense six times in eight years from 1990 to 1997.
And oh yeah their CB won the Heisman.
