Or maybe cause it was the shyt... but you wasn't there, so...

I find this opposition funny tho', from the guy who stays biggin' up aiiight shyts that were hits... yet you question the merit of 'Remember the Time'... yikes... :heh:

how wasn't I there?? cut the chit.

again, I never said it shouldn't be nominated. I'm saying it shouldn't be winning.
what "aiight" shyt did I big up?? not chit that you claimed I bigged up, but chit that I actually mentioned. i'll wait.

whats really funny is that youre the one that repeatedly claimed that these things are about the hits and not the artists. and this is clearly a case of people voting for the artist. but hey, you already contradicted yourself on that statement multiple times. and you disappeared each time I called you out on it in the rap tournament.

btw, the dangerous album was :flabbynsick: and I had it in real-time. somebody passed it off to me because they weren't feeling it, and I ended up doing the same thing. but let you tell it, I wasn't there.

I call BS on people voting for "Remember The Time" simply because it is an MJ song. I mean, considering Whitney has one of the biggest ballads of all time on the list and Prince is also on the list, if this was just name association, this would be much closer.

Dangerous is far from a flabby album. Coming off of Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad, Dangerous doesn't measure up, but those albums are a part of one of the greatest three album runs ever and MJ isn't just some rinky dink artist you could simply apply some silly Internet lingo like flabby to. Why? We are still talking about a one of a kind artist, who even at his worst (which Dangerous by no means was his worst) was still killing it.

Regardless, "Remember The Times" is a classic song with a classic video and because it's a MJ song, but because it's a classic period. Could've been a Tevin Campbell song and still went. It ain't like "Black or White" or "Jam" or even the title track was nomintated. The album still had its share of gems like "Driving Me Wild", "In The Closet", and "Who Is It" (one of his best songs).

Even in by '95/'96, MJ still had songs like "You Are Not Alone" and there's many that love the Invincible album which came out in 2001.

None of this matters breh...

"Remember the Time" was dope AF and I don't know why this is some kind of weird thing to you that people are voting for it... I aint talkin about the Dangerous album, or how big of a star Michael is or was, I'm talkin' about THAT SONG. The guy who thinks 'RumpShaker' was one of the 8 best hip-hop songs of 1992 thinks people are hoodwinked for picking 'Remember the Time'... in real time, that song was the shyt. You see I didn't put 'Jam' or 'In The Closet' or none of them shyts in there, so how you figure people just pickin' it cause its Michael. I bet if I had put his other '92 singles on it, they wouldn't be in the lead. But... :troll: I know you, lol

had to stop you right there.

whitney & prince aren't childhood nostalgic deities to '90s kids.

you cant compare.

I never gave a list of what I think were the 8 best songs of any year. what are you talking about?
going by the criteria, I said rumpshaker should've been a voting option. do I think its a too 8 BEST rap single that year? I never put any thought to that, so stop misquoting me IN EVERY POST.

and you already said you understood my point, and you prolly low-key agree with me, I don't know why youre trying to double-back and stir the pot.
why don't you double back & address your contradictions instead??
