I’m not gonna surgarcoat it. A nikka down bad. Made a thread detailing my situation in October. Fast-forward to May of this year and I secured a job at Georgetown Seafood washing dishes only to find out that they charge employees for food :beli:.

Fast-forward a month later and I’m getting let go under the guise of “needing more training and we’ll call you in to train you” (lack of food and proper sleep drastically slowed my performance and those food bank lines are demonic) knowing damn well my black ass was cooked like that fukking fried fish we serve to these yt people.

Now I’m typing this out sitting at a bus stop at 1AM having secured an interview at Tatte when the store manager returns from his honeymoon (but he already said I had good energy so I’m optimistic).

I’m not asking for no crazy amount of money but as it stands, all I have is the t-shirt on my back and I’m pretty sure a solid dress shirt and some slacks would greatly boost my chances. I decided to just wear my New Balances regardless so don’t need shoes. Anything is appreciated.

And unlike other nikkas, I will update when I get hired. :lolbron:

Maybe some bug spray too because these mosquitoes tearing my ass up out here.

You got fired from washing dishes my nikka?

:what:
The management had me shadowing someone and I got blamed for not cleaning even though we closed the kitchen together. He was an immigrant though and it was easier to fire me since they hadn’t onboarded me yet.

That being said, washing dishes all day in steaming hot water with no food would destroy anyone overtime imo.

Respectfully, why aren't you at Amazon? They will literally take anybody. Immediately.

And they generally pay a living wage, especially once you factor in overtime.

I worked there when I was 21 and got fired for “stealing time” when I just had to use the bathroom during my overnight shift sometimes. They fired a ton of people using that as an excuse when they didn’t want you leaving the conveyor belt or the package sorter. I would go back but if I can apply at fast food spots and it takes weeks just to get back to me, I’m not especially optimistic.

:lolbron:

Otherwise hold ya head my nikka, there's rough times up ahead and it aint looking too good. I 100% believe you could get out of this shyt that you're in and you will. Fight that shyt my nikka and dont let nothing hold you back.
