sigh... i was a young nikka 17. had a job in a hospital that payed 12.80 an hour. had benefits even at part time lol. tuition assistance and all that good shyt. left because i was a fat sack of shyt and i didnt like riding the bus for an hour to get there. 3 years later a nikka unemployed selling tree on the side smh. be young and dumb brehs

quit gap
quit champs
quit macys
quit nordstrom

i got written up all the time at each job for stupid shyt. i was making a killing at nordstrom stealing people's commissions and got written up like 5 times. on the day i quit i had my friends come in and buy hella shyt from me. at the end of my shift i told them im done here so they paid me in cash for whatever sales i had that week up to that day
then a week later my friends returned hella shyt and i never took the commission hit

Last year, made 2 years at Cox in tech support and had only received a .10 raise each year. nikka was making 11.92 an hour

Last 3-4 months there i stopped giving a fukk, was having meetings with my manager every other day and her trying to convince me how great my job was

Got my first cert and start putting feelers out to jobs in Houston and received overwhelming response. Hit my boss up via text and told her i was resigning effective immediately

Quit my first real job almost 5 years ago now. Haven't worked for anyone else since.

I'm sure i could have found another one if i really put in the effort though. Apply to three places a day and someone is going to hire you eventually. Its a numbers game.

But you should also try to be more patient and wait till you actually have a new job lined up.

Been thinking bout just getting up and quitting (not really, I'll give 2 week notice) but I got rent and bills to pay.

For me it's hard to get motivated to look for another job while I'm employed

Yep. Walked out at lunch time with no plans of returning. I used to cry during the 30 minute drive there every morning. I had a PT job at the time so I picked up hours. Took me 8 months to get a full time gig
