SPIN- Did you give a fuxc about your HS prom?

When it was, where it was, who went, I have no idea.

But I know HS in NYC is very different from the rest of the States, so I'm interested in your experiences.

Half of my class didnt go to prom cus it cost too damn much.

Damn tickets were like $150 a person and the venue was in LA somewhere.

So it would have been $150 + hair+ nails + makeup + dress+ limo with friends + wtf ever else = too much damn money.


I think the night of the prom, we all met up and got drunk.

Yes.....but cause I wasn't a ladies man in high school....but somehow I managed to get this girl I worked with me to go who was bad....I thought I was gonna get laid

i went to prom my junior year

had mad fun.

i got kicked out of school my senior year in like the 4th quater

and was prohibited from going to prom

so i just went to the after parties and shyt

My last 2 years of high school were at this small sh!tty school and they didn't have a prom so I never went.

My 1st two years was at this big high school tho and they had a kind of prom for the underclass students called "The Frolic" just before the Xmas break. I went the 1st year.

It was cool, I got in trouble for showing up wasted and smoking in the restrooms tho. Almost got expelled over that.

The 2nd year I didn't go. Just hung out with this girl who was only in town for a couple of weeks. I decided to hang out with her instead of going to that dance and I got some from her so it was a good decision

Mine was straight, the prom after parties was where it was at though, went to south beach and had a blast.

My mom would have wound up spending at least 1k just for me to have fun with my friends for one night.

It wasnt that serious to me.

Not from the US but I cared about it in the sense that I wanted an excuse to dress up more than normal, and catch all the beefs that would come to a head with everyone in the same place.

It was fun as hell.
