It's Dark and Hell is Hot is a top 10 rap album all time. Classic in every sense of the word. Heard it here first

Also, his 2nd/3rd albums are solid 4/5's.

Grand Champ was decent too. The joint with Cam'ron skating all over the beat

X is a top 10 rapper all time, only faq will disagree.

Other than Jay & BIG, he was the only 90's era NY rapper that was able to transcend the NY market and appeal to a broad cross section of rap fans nationwide. Easily top 10 to ever come outta NY if not top 5.

Nas, Wu Tang? they were going double platinum in the 90s as well.

X just seemed like he got where he wanted to go in the rap game as far as success and being the top dude at one time.....its like he proved that point and made his mark ...he couldn't be bothered after that. Doesn't mean he still ain't got it...just don't think he care enough to really go hard to show it...

yea X was chittin on the industry for a good while before he dropped that "retirement" album.

thats why def jam didnt really promote grand champ like that, but they roled out the red carpet for jay's black album which i dont think sold all that much more, correct me if im wrong.

It's ashamed X being a drugged out now, clouds the perception of him. But, he's a legend that's cemented in

Hip-Hop, just off the strength of his first roll of albums. Each went multi-plat, and he change

the dial on the game; that even had Hollyweird chasing him. I wish his demons didn't get the best of him. If you

really hear what he's saying in his different Prayers interlude, you know lie within that man, is a good soul...goes to listen to Ain't No Sunshine
