women replying to this thread: be direct with your answers and be honest too. don't beat around the bush. this is something i've been curious about recently too because there are a lot of subtle hints women throw but i just don't trust myself enough to move on a subtle hint because it seems like it could be a waste of time. i'm ready and willing to give time if it's apparent she's giving me the time...

Like others have said I'll smile or say hi to start up a conversation. Nothing cheesy like the weather or some ish. I'll compliment him on his tie, his cologne, or if he's wearing something from a specific team I'll engage in a little sports trash talk, etc. My personality is laid back and chill so that's pretty much how it goes. Nothing too overt aka thirsty.

You should go for anyone you're interested in. Waiting for signs may cause you to lose an opportunity. If I like a guy, externally I'm going to treat him the same as anyone else.
