I won't front, when I heard about the team moving to BK, I was like
. Even though I was born and raised there, I said it wasn't gonna matter. But I moved to NC in 2005, and I found myself missing BK, the small things. Like being able to go to White Castle or Crown Chicken at midnight to satisfy a late night craving. The energy of the streets. Knickerbocker Ave. in Bushwick on the first warm day of the year, and all the mamis taking off the winter clothes to show what's good. Chopping up with the Arabs who thought they was black... So because of that, I began to identify more with my BK heritage, and feel that sense of pride. So yeah, when I see that grand name, "BROOKLYN" on some official gear, in the standings, I'm gonna have love for it. I'll still rock for the Knicks, but when I see Brooklyn play, it's gonna be love too.
