For the record I think MJ is the greatest to ever do it as of now. HOWEVER,

The biggest go to argument to support the claim as MJ being the GOAT is that he never lost in the finals.

Well let's not act as if Jordan had a 6 year career.

The truth is Jordan was bounced out early 7 times and outright missed the playoffs 2 other times. :mjcry:

Had LeBron had been bounced out in the first round or semi's rather than getting to the finals and losing; based on many people's logic he'd be criticized less.

He'd also be 2-0 in the finals, flawless and undefeated in the finals as Jordan.

So what is worse? Getting to the finals and losing:sadbron: or Getting bounced out earlier in the playoffs so that it doesn't interfere with the "Perfect Finals" narrative? :mjpls:

LeBron gets punished "legacy wise" for not losing in earlier playoff rounds.

And Jordan either gets credited or ignored for losing/choking in the 1995 playoffs and gets credited for quitting during the middle of his prime. It is what it is. A lot of people have a lot of vested interest in making sure Jordan is always seen as the GOAT.

Jordan stans giving the thread one star but the facts can not be denied.

Yes LeBron lost.
MJ currently is greater than LeBron at 2/3rds out of his career right now..

But answer the question
Did Jordan only play 6 seasons.
Are we going to pretend as if he didn't get bounced out the playoffs where as Lebron could have been bounced out
but still was able to make it further in some of the cases.

I'm just addressing the Logic, no doubt 6 is more than 2. I know math.

After tonight, that'll put him at 4 Finals losses, so please don't compare him to Kobe or Duncan or let alone Jordan.

He's a great regular season player who puts up empty stats but can't elevate his game when it matters most :yeshrug:

Whose to say what matters most if jordan didn't even make it to the finals those years. Whose to say he wouldn't have had loses if he even made it any of the years 84-90. We'd never know because he was even that good at the time to make it that far.

Logic my friend, Logic.

Nobody is going to fault him for this year. Or even last year. And not 2007 either.

But the series against Dallas in 2011 and SA in 2013 (even though he won), he was outplayed by Jason Terry, Boris Diaw, and Kawhi Leonard most of those 13 games.

That's not a good look.
He should be faulted for 07, last year and this year

He was awful in 07, terrible in the 4th quarters last year and has missed 20 shots a game this year

Every series MJ lost before the finals they were the underdog.

:mjlol:

MJ never lost with HCA in any round.

Lebron has lost multiple series before the finals with HCA..

This thread sucks

He was heavy underdog in every one of those series you mentioned.

With a far inferior team that made him do EVERYTHING.

I like shytting on LeBron as much as the next guy, but it's hard to blame him when he's going 1v5 out there. That 07 and this current 15 CLE teams are complete ass. I don't blame him for losing. And last year he was the only one who showed up for Miami.

But Jordan went to the Finals 6x. This is Bron 6th time so your point is what?

Read the title of the post. If you don't understand it, just ignore the thread.

Jordan played more than 6 seasons. He was indeed perfect in the finals, but did he or did he not lose on the quest the finals and championship more times than not? That reality is often ignore to continue this Jordan was flawless narrative.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.
