I'm curious. Always seeing what the Dems don't do, what they didn't do, what about us, etc., Alright, hypothetically speaking, lets say they have the votes, what would you propose?

They’re the politicians. It’s also THEIR job (not just ours) to propose and to implement the proposals after they’re elected based on those proposals and promises.

for ADOS Businesses

  • Create a National Program for Black American Business Enterprise. Audit the banks annually to measure fairness in lending practices and hold banks accountable for discriminating against Black American borrowers in denials, interest rates, fees, and penalties.

  • Commit to providing grants and zero to low-interest loans specifically targeted to Black-owned businesses of all types (including, but not limited to, sole proprietorships, single-member LLCs, and 1099s) to keep existing businesses open and to help reopen businesses that are now closed due to the disproportionate economic fallout from COVID-19.

  • 15% of SBA loans must go to Black-owned businesses. These loans must be sufficient for Black-owned businesses to scale and employ workers. Such loans should not be secured by collateral, as the government—through policies such as redlining—has intentionally devalued Black-owned property. These loans must be federally backed and forgivable.

  • 15% of government contracts must go to Black-owned businesses.

  • 15% of the government’s media expenditures must go to Black-owned media companies.

  • Companies in the technology and finance sectors must reach a goal of having at least 15% of their workforce composed of Black Americans at all levels, from entry-level to upper management, in 20 years. The government must amend the existing tax law to offer these businesses specific tax incentives, like the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), that encourage the hiring of ex-offenders to incentivize the hiring and retention of Black American workers.

Healthcare related

  • The data generated and used in reporting on descendants of chattel slavery in the U.S. must be disaggregated.

  • The Biden-Harris administration must make permanent the White House Health Equity Task Force. The Task Force must revise their mission statement to extend beyond a response to pandemics. It must commit to removing the barriers to access healthy food sources and adequate healthcare structures.

  • Set aside $2.25 billion in federal funding for public health departments to promote health equity. While the average grant is projected to be approximately $20 million, we require $45 million for the purpose of permanently establishing an ADOS/Freedman Healthcare Ombudsman. The healthcare ombudsman will manage and mitigate risks specific to Black Americans. Decisions must be informed by a comprehensive understanding of the cultural needs and historic relationship to the institution of medicine.

  • We require a specific allocation of the Biden-Harris’ 2022 FY Budget for funds expanding access to culturally competent care to include mental health professionals and ADOS Lineage Therapy. We require an allocation of the $153 million for CDC’s Social Determinants of Health program that is proportional to our population, and which supports states and territories in improving health equity and data collection for racial and ethnic populations. In the budget, there is a lack of specificity required to ensure the emphasis is on the equitable health and well-being of Black Americans who are the most marginalized.

  • Lump sum payments to eligible individual African Americans.

  • The establishment of a trust fund to which eligible blacks could apply for grants for various asset-building projects, including home ownership, additional education, or start-up funds for self-employment.

  • The provision of vouchers that could be used for asset building purposes, including the purchase of financial assets.

  • Reparations in kind, for example, guaranteed schooling beyond the high school level or medical insurance.

  • The use of reparations to build entirely new institutions to promote collective well-being in the black community.

Like it or not, there is no "other than reparations."

The can keeps getting kicked down the road for black folsk to "wait." And shyt gets worst.

40% of black business died during COVID and there was no talk about dealing with that, JUST like there was no talk about housing relief for black folks after 2008.

Anything but reparations would be a Band-aid.

Free college? For what, we still don't have the outlets to plug that degree into.

No income taxes? A large percent of black ppl don't pay income ta because of our low yearly incomes.

Business Loans for no interest? Cool idea, but, if we broke, we can't just sell to us, and we're so far behind, we can't compete with mainstream companies. I'm talking black airports and shyt, not books or beauty products.

I'm not sure what wouldn't be reparative at this point. But if you're defining that as just personal checks or sums of money, there are a bunch.

Reform prisons towards rehabilitation
Disarm the police
Regulate affordable housing
Free higher education at least for fields that serve the community
Codify voting rights
Adequately fund Public grade schools and require CRT and financial literacy classes every year above 6th grade
Investigate/study the healthcare industry for negligence and penalize under or misdiagnosis

Kind of difficult because a lot of these things cost money. So if they can do all this, why not just give reparations lol?
