:jbhmm: you never hear anything about him being an actual murderer

I mean there was the original old man logan storyline but more often than not, wolverine is supposed to be this adorable furry canuck with a bad attitude but lots of honor

When in reality hes just Charles Manson with claws :manny:

A lot of comic book characters are either retconned or conceived based on an idea. Wolverine is the traumatized war veteran (invented on the heels of Vietnam) after growing from a runt to a strong man so that's never gonna be criticized that heavily if at all (in America).

better question is how come Wolverine keeps gettin his ass kicked in the Xmen cartoons after he talks tough and unleashes his claws?....

This is what disappoints about the mcu. We finally get the xmen and they cripple hulk and retire cap. So i dont get to see him fight either one.

you have an industrial strength magnet on standby? you work for nasa? i got one, but i use it for sexual, freaknik purposes. and still, you'd have to get him near the pool, then even if he was pulled underwater, he'd just cut the magnet loose then hunt you down.

Wolverine's whole character got messed up when the little kids who grew up reading about him in the Claremont/Byrne/Frank Miller era got old enough to write the comics themselves. Wolverine was a dope character in the beginning because despite being a bad dude, he was still flawed, and far from invincible. He was a GOAT level trash-talker, but he got tossed into the bushes quickly whenever he stepped out of his lane. Writers today though want to make him invincible just because of his popularity in real life, which cheapened the character, IMO.

A big problem with current comics in general is that you have too many fanboy writers in the game who are only writing to entertain other fanboys and nobody else. There's too many nerds who grew up in love with the characters and put good storytelling on the backburner for the sake of making their favorite character better/faster/stronger/smarter/cooler than some other guy's favorite.

You don't have enough people writing for a general audience these days, IMO.

Cant wait until Marvel makes a Xmen movie.

Co-sign. Here's hoping they'll be smart enough to follow the OG Chris Claremont books (from the 70s/80s/early 90s) over a lot of the more recent stuff.
I'm honestly lowkey kinda burnt out (:snooze:) on the MCU until they come through with some X-men.
