:jbhmm: you never hear anything about him being an actual murderer

I mean there was the original old man logan storyline but more often than not, wolverine is supposed to be this adorable furry canuck with a bad attitude but lots of honor

When in reality hes just Charles Manson with claws :manny:

1. This should be in the film room
2. It is because he is popular

Wolverine's whole character got messed up when the little kids who grew up reading about him in the Claremont/Byrne/Frank Miller era got old enough to write the comics themselves. Wolverine was a dope character in the beginning because despite being a bad dude, he was still flawed, and far from invincible. He was a GOAT level trash-talker, but he got tossed into the bushes quickly whenever he stepped out of his lane. Writers today though want to make him invincible just because of his popularity in real life, which cheapened the character, IMO.

A big problem with current comics in general is that you have too many fanboy writers in the game who are only writing to entertain other fanboys and nobody else. There's too many nerds who grew up in love with the characters and put good storytelling on the backburner for the sake of making their favorite character better/faster/stronger/smarter/cooler than some other guy's favorite.

You don't have enough people writing for a general audience these days, IMO.

Co-sign. Here's hoping they'll be smart enough to follow the OG Chris Claremont books (from the 70s/80s/early 90s) over a lot of the more recent stuff.
I'm honestly lowkey kinda burnt out (:snooze:) on the MCU until they come through with some X-men.

Wolverine is only invincible due to healing factor. He gets his ass kicked all the time. Mainly because he's one of the few that can take it. Not to mention sabretooth constantly being on his neck .
