I was going to try this Ethiopian spot but rode past this Nigerian one instead. Stopped in to see what was good and ordered a jollof(id never tried it before), tripe, and plantain plate:

The tripe and the plantain were great.

The rice was literally nasty. I mean extremely unappealing. It was almost like it was cooked in tomato sauce. What in the world do you African brehs see in that flavor? And y’all love some damn jollof too smh.

I want to try the other jollof next time(whichever one that gets cooked with peas).

Most jollof most places are hit or miss. You unfortunately got this miss. Usually it misses more than it hits.

In the DMV my favorite spot is Roger Miller's. In a perversely comical way, everything on the menu hits but the owner misses and he forgets orders.

Every other spot I've tried in the DMV hasnt really compared but I'm open to trying.
