I wouldn't mind a Southern woman who was educated in the North, but I definitely couldn't get with a Southern woman who did college in the South and has spent most of her adult life there

I don't want her raising my kids thinking that USC stands for University of South Carolina and that they should choose UVa and Vanderbilt over Cornell and Northwestern. Can't have that shyt in my house

If a southern girl could get into Vanderbilt, you best believe she knows about all the other top 20 universities and had the credentials to get into more than just that one. Cornell is 15 and Vandy is 17 (there is no 16). Either school would be a fine choice .

As a Northern Ivy Leaguer, I'm just biased more towards Northwestern and Cornell than Vandy, and it seems that Southerners are more biased towards their schools.

I live in Charlotte, and I'm sick of running into all these USC, UNC, Wake Forest people only talking about Southern schools.

All the Duke kids probably made it out this shyt hole and went up to New York

I feel you, but Vanderbilt's population isn't just southern and it's a great school that just happens to be in the south (there are a lot of northern people who like to down play anything southern just because it's southern, but Vandy is in top 20 for just about everything including being the number 1 education school in the country over Harvard, Columbia, etc.). I can't stick up for all southern universities, but Vanderbilt is undeniably a great and highly ranked university.

I've never met anyone from Vandy up north. Never encountered any Vanderbilt kids on Wall Street either. I don't think it's a Wall Street target.

It seems like POSSE NY loves Vanderbilt. Also, I plead the 5th to the last sentence (I might just be one of those southern girls sticking up for southern universities ).

I'm partial to all...mainly because I learned how to adjust to each region. I lived in the south...and the Midwest. But women in certain parts of a region are night and day too. Memphis and Nashville women are completely different. Chicago and Detroit women are completely different.

No major issues with any region....just gotta go in knowing what it is. .

ugh most of the southern women I have come across irritate me...

moving here from nyc...I understand why the men here have a party with these women...I have had quite a few bad experiences with some of the desperate women of the south...not saying all are like that but the ones I have known personally they allow their unnecessary need to get married control their life...

Vanderbilt's a good school. I used to live an hour from Nashville, so I been there a few times. Its kinda like Rice.

Both are considered to be top 20 schools but, you rarely hear anyone talk about them.

And alot of those kids who go to school down south, want to live down south afterwards. It's not always about New York bro.​
