There's a lot of nuance in divorce numbers that they never elaborate on. If your first marriage can sustain, more than half last, i think something like 70% last. It's people who marry more than once who divorce. I know that sounds redundant, but you run the divorce numbers up when you count repeat offenders. Marriage amd divorce laws suck, but I feel like they don't tell the full story because they want to sell a narrative.
That being said, I think culturally many black folks don't have the wherewithal to sustain. It's culture to have it your way or the highway.
