I don't believe they're fukking the kids up more. After college your self centeredness is at an all time high. It probably is the least traumatic time for parents to split.

There's a lot of nuance in divorce numbers that they never elaborate on. If your first marriage can sustain, more than half last, i think something like 70% last. It's people who marry more than once who divorce. I know that sounds redundant, but you run the divorce numbers up when you count repeat offenders. Marriage amd divorce laws suck, but I feel like they don't tell the full story because they want to sell a narrative.

That being said, I think culturally many black folks don't have the wherewithal to sustain. It's culture to have it your way or the highway.

I don't see them relating or equating celebrity relationships to "normal" relationships nearly as much.

That MAY be ignorance on my part though. They might do it all the time in spaces I never frequent. But I have a very hard time believing they do it as much.

They definitely aren't happier though.

When you a raised in an environment surrounded by two parent households, you don’t need to view celebrities as roles models. This is also why you see these black women praising these videos of white men lavishing their black wives with gifts, and trips. They are under the impression that white men are better lovers, which isn’t true. They are more likely to marry, but if you hear white women talk about their husbands, it’s not 24/7 passion, and extravagance. And once they get divorced, they talk about the man like he was the devil.
