Nah not many...all of the marriages and engagements I know of (I know 3, I'm a civilian) failed...including mines :mjcry:

But I realized I got used so she could make more money while she was over there...I stayed faithful tho...another story for another day :manny:

I see military joints are NOT the type to wife up tho...learned the hard way but I'm a better man for it tho:francis:
Learned my lessons and picked myself up. Still believe in marriage and hopefully the wife that was meant for me will come into my life....if not :yeshrug:

Nah doing the CSPI program..i actually just got in last June. Down here at an HBCU in the south.

Where you stationed at? I know the CG is like <5% black so this is surprising

i'm stationed in the cali bay area. ironically, nearly every black officer i know is cspi or direct commission and went to an hbcu. i guess the coast guard really is serious about diversity.

A friend survived one. Air national guard. He went to Afghanistan. He's an officer. I don't know if things are different or the same when the guy is an officer as compared to enlisted. I'm guessing it's the same.
Another friend was a sergeant in the army. So was his wife. I don't know the details. They had three kids. Then, they got divorced. She was a looker.
