alright brehs.... I been wanting to make this topic (again) for a long time... and now @bdizzle has given me the moral support that I've been waiting for...

to see other brehs having the same hopes and fears that I'm having is therapeutic and it makes me emotional at the same time


It's good to know that we got brehs out there willing to help other brehs as we deal with the horrors of yrs of terrible haircuts and hairlines being pushed back as we try to find a way to combat what might be inevitable...

what I'm saying, brehs is, I'm scared.

my hairline ain't doing the things it used to do, and I have a thin spot on one side.... and I feel like this: If I don't find a way to take care of this thin spot, then it will eventually bald out and I will be looking like Vegeta

I've been using jamaican black castor oil for months now and it hasn't done anything but give my hair a nice sheen and feel

but it hasn't really done anything to make my hair grow.... I started wondering, if I'm using the right brand

I bought it locally so is there a chance it may have been watered down? or is all jamaican black castor oil the same?

It's not all the same, you might have some stuff that's been extracted using hexane, which has been shown to defat the surfaces it's applied to over time
how much did it cost? Does it say raw, organic or cold pressed? I used it on my eyelashes and edges and it definitely works, but I got it from Jamaica.

it was no more than $6

got it from the local korean's hairstore

when I get home today, Imma take a pic of the bottle and upload it.... I dont' remember if it says raw or organic

and you're saying that if it has hexane in it, that it'll make me go bald faster?

No, it just has some bad effects on skin I think, I have no idea what defatting would do to hair
the same chemical that strips oil out of plant material would be in your hair, it just sounds bad
$6 seems kind of low
