Lets talk about this alarming affair right now...

The World Series has just started and ya marsupial got MLB TV courtesy of T Mobile. Guess what....the games are blacked out along with the entire playoffs, All Stars games, special games, and even the friggin tournament.

Last year, I wanted to follow NBA because why not? I tried out a free trial with NBA League Pass:

  • App was glitchy and laggy as hell
  • Blackouts
  • struggle NBA TV
  • Barely any old content (old games and etc)
  • Garage ass service
No harm no foul, let me try ESPN+ since I have been fiending for some Hockey and College Baseball:

  • Blackouts
  • No coverage of the LEGIT games (just A to AA colleges)
  • Bullshyt exclusives
  • Terrible coverage
Okay....Guess I'll see what's popping with the UFC Fight Pass since I feel like swanging and bangi...

  • Bush league ass promotions
  • Garbage production
  • Lag
  • Buffering in friggin 2023
Sighs....Peacock seems like the lessor of all evils but...

  • Terrible performance
  • Buffering
  • Doesn't cover all of the Premier league games
I find myself watching Golf these days because that's the only sport that's not blackout of the ass (more ways than one :mjpls:)

It just seems like these organizations thrive on fukking with its sports fans and can't get out of the cable slump. Its weird to me that if you are a sports head, you have to put on a eye patch, find other means, or be rich human Mcgee and throw money on YouTube or Fubo. Do these companies actually want new fans or lapsed fans:why:

The Truth
They really are garbage

The blackout games are especially annoying. I know for the NBA, the NBA itself is greedy and don’t want to take views away from local tv outlets and major Networks that they have their deals with

And some of their shyt is overpriced af.. YouTube TV to watch sports is like an extra $25 and you still need to pay for the basic bullshyt service on top of it. Idk if they do blackouts or not, but it’s literally the same old ass YouTube shyt with buffering and ads (I believe).

I forgot how much League Pass costs but it’s basically just to watch games they don’t put on TV

They want you to watch the ads and cable is the best way for that to happen.

I've had the same experience with all those services. When I tried to follow NYCFC a few years ago the coverage was blacked out and I immediately gave up. The Premier League coverage on Peacock was garbage as well. Last night I saw the Knicks game on Fubo TV of all places.

I have ESPN+ as part of the Disney deal and have only logged into that shyt once or twice.:trash:

Worst is that I tried to order a UFC fight for my dad's birthday last year on ESPN+, but my dad's tv didn't have ESPN+ but had Hulu, but the ESPN+ payment didn't carry over to Hulu (even though they said it would), so I ended up getting charged twice. :martin:

I got a refund for one, but it was still a pain in the ass. :francis:

Do what the kids nowadays when it comes to sports. Just hit up the highlights on YouTube after the game.

Full game highlights drop on YouTube minutes after the game ends.

That's the thing tho...it blows me that I find myself catching up on the MLB through their free YouTube channel and gifs, over their friggin service :why: . Like the owner treats Baseball like 50 did G Unit. If you are not going to these games, have cable like a old fossil, or big money Mcgee, fukk your feelings.

This human put mans on blast:

Hope the owner eats a dugout of wombat dikks.

Recommend the book “The Smartest Guys in the Room”, oral history of ESPN. Probably the best explanation of the weird and complex way we got to this situation.

It's not the app. It's broadcasting rights. It does the same on cable. If the local team is on the local network, It's probably getting blacked out on NBATV. Don't really follow the other sports

Bingo. Simple as that

Just go to the local bar or buffalo wild wings and watch your local team

just watch "other" streams

same thing with TV streaming (D+, Netflix, etc)

they keep pricing people out anyway, might as well just hop on the ship and set sail

:francis:I did not want to dig up the eye patch, but these greedy pieces of shyt got me posing like Captain Morgan. I just don't want to go through the hoops with dealing with sniped out streams and streams that wants to give my struggling laptop some AIDS.
