I was a little annoyed when Anita baker's rapture was taken down...

Now I see that some of my favorite Roy Ayers tracks have been taken down?

No deposit no return
Thank you
And Land of fruit and honey taken.

I realize that probably less than 1% of America know who Roy Ayers is and probably less than 50 thousand people like those particular tracks or have even heard them.

I am sure most people listen " everybody loves the Sunshine" and move on.

I also have those LPs on vinyl, MP3 and CD. But what's the whole point of the convenience of a streaming service?

Looks like anything where Roy Ayers collaborated with Wayne Henderson has been taken down. Wayne is a great trumpet player, but I hope he didnt request to have those tracks taken down.

I have checked my other playlists and numerous other tracks have been taken down.

Why do I pay for this?

YouTube Red seems like the best option. So many obscure tracks seem to only be on YouTube.

I am 34. I am old and I don't care. I don't like most post-2010 music
if you get google play music, you get a "free" YTRed sub included.

Not sure if the reverse is true, if you get a YTRed sub that you'll get Play music

Really?

Might try this.

What about he data stream from YouTube Red. Does it stream Video, even when it's not being used?

I still prefer Spotify although the google seems like a good alternative

You can always have those songs downloaded to your device on Spotify by loading them on the pc

The spotify desktop program is the best. I tried to get my own MP3s to work but it doesnt seem to work on my android. Definitely works well with my iPhone tho

spotify is pretty dope, the best streaming service of the bunch imo.

True... But...

It really seems to lack obscure records and that is what I mostly listen to.

I wanted to listen to summer nights by Lonnie Liston Smith last week, which is really not that obscure and it's not available on Spotify.

Also, Da Dirty 30 (CRU) (also not very obscure) is one of my top 25 hip hop albums and half of that album is not available on Spotify.

But there are 100s of 70s soul and fusion albums that are not spotify. YouTube has every single one though.

Spotify has the best interface and program, but the content sucks ...at least for me. I realize that I am "different" when it comes to music, so spotify is probably the best option for other people.
