The official Chaplain of the Coli
As the title stated there is minor spoilers so if you don't wanna know anything about the movie, the plot, don't read. Not gonna be revealing the ending or anything like that.
Not a Springsteen fan. Only thing I knew before the seeing was him showing love to 2 Live Crew, seeing him on award shows with Black singers. I assumed he was a Jew with Steen but it's not Stein
The movie is basically about his love life, his album Nebraska, childhood trauma and vices. The strongest part to me was about him trying to be a real artist with his album "Nebraska". Again, not a fan but I respect what he did trying to put that album out.
His vices: This was the weakest part of the movie. Yes, he was a flawed man but I really wish they detailed that part of his life. For example, with "The Complete Uknown" you really saw Bob Dylan was a butt hole. There was no covering that up. With Bruce vices I think they painted him too much of a good guy.
Childhood trauma- It was cool but I think they could really spent alot more time with his family. Particuarly his father. I wanted to see his background to see what led him to be the person he was. Thus, to see how Bruce was the way he was.
Love life- The actress was cool but I really didin't feel a connection between those 2. And come to find out that the person didn't even exist in real life according the Chatgpt.
Music wise- Didn't really get into the music except for Born in the U.S.A. (but that's because of Luther Campbell).
All in all, it's above average. But this shouldn't be nominated for an Oscar. Something cool to watch on a Saturday afternoon.
