Roaches will eat anything. If your house/ apartment building is built to industry standard then you have more than enough for roaches to eat. Roaches can be found in the cleanest most sanitary environments as well. A lot of hospitals have infestations problems. As well as rural suburban areas too. Certain sub-species like to breed in flower beds, oak trees, shrubs and bushes and look for warmth anytime it rains or is cold outside. Roaches are extremely resilient and can survive in virtually any situation they're put in. Here in Florida our climate is a oasis for them so a lot of people get their house sprayed annually.
