Sprint has a new "unlimited" data plan for users that want to watch videos in full-HD (1080p) screen resolution. Dubbed "Unlimited Freedom Premium" plan, it offers the same features as the "Unlimited Freedom" plan with the bonus of allowing users to stream videos in full-HD. Also, it costs $20 extra. DSLReports points out the obvious:
Last week we noted that Sprint unveiled its new Unlimited Freedom plan, which provides unlimited text, voice and data for $60 a month for one line, $40 a month for a second line, and $30 a month for every line thereafter (up to a maxiumum of 10). But the plan also, following on T-Mobile's heels, throttles all video by default to 480p, a move that has raised the hackles of net neutrality advocates.

What do you mean? What is the benefit of unlocking a Sprint phone :lupe:

you unlock a phone to use it with another carrier/network by accepting another company's sim card. A lot of people switch to cheaper prepaid plans or use the phone overseas. A lot of people inquire if their iphones , Galaxy 5,6 & 7, or Note 3,4, & 5 will work with Digicel. Never thought people in the islands were stuntin like that :myman:

What android version do you have?

Whats the last 4 characters of your "Baseband version"?

Are you on stock firmware?

Is your phone rooted or not?

P.S you cant get 4G LTE on sprint phones though when you're using it with another carrier.

EDIT: looking at the specs of the Note 5, it looks like you could get 4G afterall.

You have the latest version of android.

Model SM-N920P
Model name Galaxy Note5
Country Spint (cdma)
Version Android 6.0.1
Changelist 8463602
Build date Fri, 01 Jul 2016 02:39:50 +0000
Security Patch Level 2016-07-01
Product code SPR
PDA N920PVPU2BPG1
CSC N920PSPT2BPG1

You have to root your phone in order to unlock it. The caveat is rooting it trips samsung "knox" security, which "voids" your warranty, This matters to some people. There is a way to root it without tripping knox but i'm not at that level yet:sadbron:.

Breh you might as well switch from Sprint..You cant even talk and surf the internet at the same time on network data and you have to pay extra to turn your phone to a hotspont thats a big fukking ripoff when buying these new super computer phones..come on over to #VerizonGang:win:
