Was this successfully downplayed by the NFL ?

I was running wild in these streets around this time . I didn't watch much ESPN, and def wasn't discussing or checking Sport related news on the internet.

Does the Tuck Rule & Spygate add (*) next to these SB wins ? And as fans, the main fuel running the NFL , do we have a right to make sure there is a (*) next to it if needed.

And this is not aimed at the patriots (guilty by association :yeshrug:) , more towards the League and mass media manipulation. If there is other examples please add .

As far as the Tuck Rule , I believe their should be an Asterisk next to the super bowl win.

Over the years there seemed to be more people agreeing than disagreeing. Even Patriots fans. I do believe the hate for Al Davis was too strong ( All the court cases won against the NFL).

Let me school you to Spygate real quick

#1 FACT ON SPYGATE - They weren't the only ones doing it. But they got caught after the NFL warned everyone not to anymore

Stealing sideline signals of the opposing teams coordinators is a common practice that goes back to the days when football first started. It's the reason that so many teams come up with such elaborate systems and decoys just to call in plays. Have you ever seen the way Oregon used to send in plays with the cards? (SO IF ANYTHING IT WAS OVERPLAYED BY THE NFL, NOT DOWNPLAYED).

Sidenote: shyt I coach High School football and I have an elaborate system with a dead/active color and my hat. PLUS my QB changes his play card after every single drive.

Once technology started getting more available to teams alot of them started filming the hand signals and then syncing it up to game film.

The reason the Patriots were singled out is because the NFL sent a Memo out to all teams warning that they would be cracking down on it. Belichick contined to do it anyway (like a lot of other teams probably did)

They got caught because Eric Mangini (fukking loser) knew where to look for a camera because he knew the staff. So after playing the Pats once and seeing that Belichick was still at it...he took revenge on the GAWD. SNITCHED

So the NFL went out of their way to make an example of the Patriots.

#1 Myth on Spygate - A lie. and one that most people point to as the biggest offense in spy gate (though it never happened)

That the Patriots also filmed teams practicing. The Rams in particular. That was erroneously reported by the Boston Globe. The guy who reported it did so on a bad source who had no clue what he was talking about. He later apologized. The Globe later apologized. They fired him. And the NFL said it never happened. But you still have Marshall Faulk and a whole bunch of other morons still repeating the lies.

Faulk is just butt hurt. How did the Patriots beat the Rams? They did something that no other team did to them. They beat the shyt out of the receivers on the line and hit Marshall Faulk every single play. Rergadless of whether he was getting the ball or not. They fukked up the finesse and timing of the Greatest Show on Turf. You didn't need any video for that.

As far as the tuck rule....I can't defend that. But there certainly shouldn't be an asterisk. That was the rule at the time. As dumb as it was.

And the Patriots won 3 Superbowls while supposedly videotaping opponents. But the NFL didn't send the memo out until 2006-2007. That's when most teams stopped the practice. Eric Mangini knew that Belichick was still doing t. So I'd say it was an even playing field then. NO ASTERISK PERIOD.
