The comments in here are crazy. Crowd work is very hard because you have to be genuinely naturally funny outside of I’ve told this joke over and over until it becomes funny, you have to shoot straight from the hip.
This. It's like a rapper going on sway in the morning and freestyling off the dome. Always gotta respect the freestyle. If you can rap, that shyt gone be fire. In this case if you're actually funny, that crowd work gone be lit.
What I hate is that I originally only saw a few people doing crowd works outside of their normal stand up, but every time I browse I see someone new trying to do crowd work when they never used it as a main event before trying to be like nate Jackson, Gary Owen etc
I respect a good attempt, but the content creator style influence these days makes everyone think they need to jump on any new wave as soon as they come across it, even if it's already well saturated
