After the 3rd OT of the Stanley cup finals this year and it being tied 2-2. Thought id give a little love to the NHL. The finals have been great and would really like the NBA to take note of something, while your ratings have been great and you have a game 7 coming up tomorrow their are 2 things that the NHL does that the nba needs to adopt ASAP.

Unless on the West Coast there no reason why the game should start at 9pm this is just ridiculous. Look at tonights Stanley Cup Final Game coverage started on NBC at 8:00PM they had a few minutes of lead up, the national anthem, and the game started. Unlike the NBA were games can go way past midnight or even longer with OT.

Finally why the fukk are there so many days in between games. There should be One day in between games unless travel is need then 2. This would prevent the playoffs from being like 2 months long Mr Stern.

That is all lemme know what y'all think

Series has been pretty close was nice to see some goals for once tonight. Hawks need to take care of home ice i'm sick of these Bruin fakkits. Crawford looking pretty :shaq2: on that glove side though.

Yea game was wide open tonight, Boston had alot of lucky bounces to get back in this one, being down by 2 goals twice only to tie it at 5 and lose in OT.....ouch

Nhl doesn't care about the west coast.

Game wasn't even on nbc

They do the scheduling not to have a game against the NBA

Who on the West really watches hockey, though? 9pm is horrible for hockey and with the amount of OT games there have been in this Final, I'm sure lots of folks have already missed ends of games because of it. It would be worse with a later start. Some would probably go to bed during the third period.

Oh, look its ANOTHER NHL fan with a complex about basketball and the NBA :shaq2:

I will never understand why hockey fans think there is some kinda competition. If there was, you would be losing terribly btw :heh:

of course however there is somewhat of a competition both seasons start a few weeks apart and both pay 82 games and both end in june, at one part in the early nineties the nhl was almost as popular as the nba, that will never happen again though, even the nhl knows that and never dares to go toe to toe with the nba

Maybe its me, but I only see NHL fans trying to start some NHL vs NBA shyt. Its never the other way around. I enjoy both sports and never hear anything like that from basketball fans. They might be like "Nah I dont watch hockey" but they usually leave it at that.
