Joe Budden and now Star are necessary evils. That show can't survive alone discussing random hip hop topics and social media clips. The show itself is too short for that.
They need to expand their audience. I get that AK's followers birthed the show but in all honesty you can't sustain longevity with that type of market.
Complex probably realized this after dissecting the Joe Budden departure which is why they chose Star over other candidates.
I never watched a full episode and I subscribed yesterday which says a lot.

Wow, this episode is terrible. Nadeska is a terrible, horrible, no good moderator, you can't be all in your feelings and emotional and work with Star, it's impossible...fire that bytch ASAP please. Aside from her though, Star is taming himself and censoring himself, it seems like he's on a leash, this shyt trash.
And LOL @ Star's lack of hip hop knowledge being put on display too, they should keep the topics very broad, don't make them about specific shyt because Star doesn't know or care about the rap shyt too deep, he can't go back and forth on that. He wasn't brought in for his hip hop knowledge, he was brought in to shake shyt up and be a fire starter
Yesterday's episode was amazing, this episode is painful to watch so far, Why would he placate her and try to kiss her ass while she's still acting like a dikkhead? He should tell her to eat a dikk and not even acknowledge her if that's how she's gonna act, stop kissing these chicks asses when they act like that man. This show will eventually fail again because Nadeska is a child emotionally and thinks she has to "stand up" to Star because she's leading the feminist movement or sumn, that bytch trash, and she don't even look good
Completely agree. I’m not a fan of Nadeska. She too basic. In my opinion they need somebody that’s better able to roll with the punches. That’s some fukk shyt trying to neuter Star. He’s a shock jock so let the man cook. Yesterday’s episode was a great introduction to what could be, but instead they trying to take shyt out. Very disappointed today.
Nadeska need to go on CNN with that journalist shyt. You can go to any major city and pull a female personality off local radio and do her job.
Completely agree. It’s sad that she takes away the shows energy like that. The show is not about her, so she needs to stop acting like her worth in it is so high.

Knowing how slick Star is with the subtle jabs like “I’m losing money being here” while looking off camera... letting everyone know joe was right to leave and that complex definitely doesn’t pay shyt... him saying “i was following your lead!” tells me that’s what they want him to do behind the scenes. But shyt like that lets me know they don’t know what they fukk they’re doing. You don’t get a wild pit like Star, give him to a child like Ak and just think everything is gonna be all good. I watched that whole first episode thinking “Complex must hate Akademiks. They really setting this nikka up.”

Pretend a minute that you're Nedeska. Star, a very well know and powerful man, treats you with no respect at all, in this time of change, especially, are you really gonna disrespect yourself and let Star do that, especially in today's climate?. If you were Nedeska you would have done the same thing. Plus, what she did was hard (she was clearly nervous). I respect her a lot more now.

I understand brehs upset about Star not trippin out this episode but I honestly thought breh was going to get fired. You cant just say you want to jerk and nut on your co workers leg then continue to wild out in this society especially with a queen feminist like Nedeska.
