Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Do you know what it is you want to do with software development? There are many languages with all having a specific goal.

I tend to like to learn things that I’m interested in and then pick up on I want a little later. Right now development is where I want to be and coding is interesting to me. I will update as I progress

Good luck. I got introduced to Java in college which introduced me to object orienting programming. I wanted to expand into app development years ago but my laptop couldn't run the programs.

Start with Java and Phyton as your foundation. This will make you solid.

Here are some channels.

Stay focused and never give up. Let none distract you on your mission.

Yea I’m used to data sets I think that’s why I picked it first cause I figured it might be easier to understand as a language
Imma share this online Java course provided by a university in Finland/Helsinki. It's free and it's challenging. The good news is it will force you to learn and figure it out.

It starts from a intro level and it's treated as a college course. There is exams and a a capstone / final project. Every test will have a code checker to make sure your logic and code is straight.

https://java-programming.mooc.fi/

This will give you hand ons experience learning instead of just reading. You will learn by doing.

Lahman Database is good public dataset for learning SQL if you are a sports fan.

If you decide to get into coding a la the more traditionally thought of languages, check out Odin Project. Opensource, free and will give you some structure that most YT videos don't

I started my coding journey yesterday too OP.

I'm at about the 3 hour mark of this course. I'm ngl, getting the error messages sometimes can be frustrating but just over 2 days I' can already feel myself getting the hang of it. So don't give up bro, all the best.

Mosh is that dude :banderas:

First of all:
:salute:

This reads like a woman’s post on IG (no offence)

“I like doing things I like. Right now I’m getting into something I like and it is interesting to me. Will let you know how it goes.”

Wait, what? That was your answer?

“development” could mean literally a 100 things.
“coding” is part of software development, and could also mean 100 things.

So what are you thinking of doing: websites, apps..?
